BMW M Series Use Diesel Engines
Not just one unit that will be embedded diesel engine but four units at once. Each will be powered four-wheel drive system (all-wheel drive) and a growing issue machines used type 3.0L turbocharged inline six. And reportedly there is no one model that will be marketed in the United States.
Four models of BMW M in question is M550d xDrive sedan, touring M550d xDrive, the X5 and X6 M50d M50d. Each 3.0L inline six diesel engine common-rail with turbo will be developed exclusively by M Performance. Power to be generated to achieve 376 hp at 4000 rpm and 545 rounds lb.ft at 2000-3000 rpm range.
Each model will be equipped with a system of eight-speed automatic transmission and xDrive AWD standard. With specs like this M550d sedan accelerates from zero to 100 KMH just 4.6 seconds. While touring M550d clocked 4.9 seconds. While the X5 and X6 M50d M50d respectively recorded in 5.4 and 5.3 seconds.
The data is more complete specification of the four diesel BMW M models will be revealed during the event the Geneva Motor Show which will take place next March.
